Maybe it’s the dreary late winter days that have me dreaming of spring, but I’m starting to see a trend in the products that I have been using/loving!
Volume 2 of my current favorites includes a bit of everything. A little body care, perfume, highlighter… and vitamins? It’s been so dreary here so I’ve been incorporating a few products into my everyday routine that remind me of the warmer seasons ahead. The little things like doing your nails and treating your skin to some body butter can make a huge difference in your overall mood. Sometimes winter can just drag on! Recently I have fallen full force into spring mode and I’m actually really okay with it.
I always feel like I’m anticipating the upcoming season. Like in fall I will be excited for winter, in summer I will be excited for fall. Maybe it’s just me??
As for right now, bring on spring!
Aaaand first we have…
The Sleek highlighting palette in Solstice! I will admit, I bought this because of the hype. At first it didn’t really appeal to me for some reason but after seeing it literally everywhere I decided to give it a go. Holy cow is this thing amazing. It has two creams and two powders that are blinding highlights. The creams are beautiful, but I really just use the two powders in here. I didn’t think I would get any use out of the lavender shade but after I put on the champagne color I will pop a little of the lavender on and it’s gorgeous! If you are looking for an affordable highlight that beams, try this out! I picked mine up on Amazon for $22.
Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb and Butter London Candy Floss
Ahhhh Flowerbomb…I am all for the spring perfumes and this is one of the most delicious scents I have ever smelled. This is the small 1 oz bottle but you only need one small spray of this scent to last you all day! This scent is very floral but it isn’t overpowering! It is strong but at the same time soft. I can see this being my spring scent because I’ve been wearing this every day and I can’t get enough!
Butter London nail polishes have become one of my recent obsessions. Combined with the fact that I have always loved a good pastel blue, this polish was made for me. I like a good, no-fuss nail polish and you get that with this brand. I didn’t try them for the longest time because they are a few more dollars than your typical polish but you get what you pay for! This shade in Candy Floss is opaque and applies so easily. I’m not the best at painting my own nails so take it from me, this formula is amazing!
Vitamin E Capsules and Soap and Glory Smoothie Star Body Buttercream
This little Vitamin E trick has been a serious favorite. I had heard that vitamin E can help with scars and I have a few little acne scars that really bug me! What I do with this is pop open one of the capsules and put the vitamin E directly on all of my scars. One of the capsules lasts me a whole week because you don’t need much! I just dot it wherever I need it after I have done my night time skincare and let it sit overnight! This has been diminishing my scars little by little ever since I started doing this method. If you have any scars on your face or even body that you want to get rid of, try this out!
Soap and Glory is one of my favorite brands for body care. All of their stuff feels so luxurious but they have such affordable prices. I have been using this Smoothie Star body butter on the days when my skin feels a little dry and I want some rich moisture. I love this specific body butter because it isn’t greasy and it doesn’t feel heavy or sticky on the skin. It sinks right in and does the job! This makes my skin so soft and it smells delicious. I got mine at Ulta!
So there are my five somewhat random favorites. It’s the little things in life, right?
Spring is right around the corner! What are you most excited for? For me it’s definitely warmer weather and watching everything bloom!
