Hourglass has been one of my favorite luxury brands ever since I tried their Ambient powders! I had been eyeing the bronzers for quite some time and I finally picked up Luminous Bronze Light!
Hourglass is a brand that I have loved for a while now. Their products do tend to have higher prices, but the quality makes up for it. I have used and loved so many of their Ambient Lighting Powders so I always look forward to trying new things from the brand. I had been wanting to try the bronzers for a long time but I couldn’t bring myself to purchase it. Finally I took the $50 plunge and picked up the lighter shade, Luminous Bronze Light at Sephora!
Everything about this product is beautiful. The packaging, along with the actual product. I love how all of the Hourglass products are marbleized! I usually lean towards cooler toned bronzers, but when I swatched this one in the store it seemed pretty neutral. It didn’t seem too warm or too cool so I thought it would work on my pale skin! Overall this is a beautiful product! The powder itself applied seamlessly with no effort at all. The bronzer isn’t patchy and it’s so easy to apply. This is supposed to be a luminous bronzer so there is some shimmer in here but once you apply it you can’t see any heavy glitter, just a healthy glow! Hourglass combined a bronzer with one of their Ambient powders which will make your complexion look healthy and glowing in a subtle way!
Sadly, the first time I put this product on I knew it wasn’t for me. Not because of the application or formula, but the shade itself is extremely warm. Maybe it was the lighting in Sephora that threw me off but when I got home and swatched this it appeared much warmer than it looked in the store. I decided to try it out anyways because I really didn’t want to return it! I applied it like I normally do my bronzer and I just didn’t like it at all. As I said, the formula and application process is flawless. If you like the shade you will love this bronzer. The texture and quality is typical Hourglass quality, amazing! I just don’t like the shade at all on my skin tone. If you have a more warm toned complexion I would recommend this product if you are looking for a high end bronzer! However if you’re like me and you have a very fair complexion I would look elsewhere!
