MAC eyeshadows are some of my favorites in my collection. They were my first “high end” eyeshadows that I purchased so I have always loved them. The eyeshadow singles retail for $6 and MAC now has palettes that come with 15 colors for $65. This is somewhat of a bargain considering if you were to purchase each shade individually it would cost you $90. MAC has three x15 palettes currently on their website and they are cool neutral, mellow moderns and warm neutral. I may have to pick up the warm neutral sometime soon for the upcoming fall season! I decided to purchase the cool neutral a few months back and let me just say I am in love.
This palette is very cool-toned, but there are some warmer shades in the palette. This palette would be a great investment for someone who was looking to experiment more with MAC shadows. The shimmer shadows in this palette are very buttery and pigmented. The matte shadows are a little bit more sheer but they blend out really nicely. Some of the shadows do have a little bit of fall out but when applied with a wet brush they go on very smoothly and intense.
Sweet Allure is described as a soft light pink with a satin finish. This shade is very pigmented and soft. This looks great all over the lid and it brightens up any eye look.
Sun Tweaked is described as a soft frosty coral with a frost finish. This shade didn’t appear to be very pigmented when I first applied it on my lid. But when you apply it directly over primer it gives a pretty peachy sheen with some sparkle.
After Dusk is described as a mid toned rosy pink with a veluxe pearl finish. I find this shade to be more of a lighter berry color with red undertones. This shade is very pigmented and buttery.
Blackberry is described as a muted burgundy plum brown with a matte finish. This shade is soft and pigmented. It blends out well and has a very soft texture.
Flounce is described as a chalky white pink with a matte finish. This shade is nice to highlight the brow bone but it isn’t very pigmented. The swatch above is after I built it up a lot.
Pick Me Up is described as a pale ivory with a matte finish. This shade has good pigmentation and isn’t as chalky as the other matte lighter shade in the palette.
Cozy Grey is described as a cool toned grey with a matte finish. This shade is a light cool toned taupe. This shade is very bendable and buttery. I like to use this as a transition shade!
Crushed Clove is described as a dirty gold olive with a frost finish. This is a medium shimmery brown that is buttery and pigmented. The texture is very pigmented and applies very smooth.
Deception is described as a chocolate gold with a frost finish. This is a darker cool toned brown. This shade is beautiful and has some gold shimmer that is noticeable when applied to the lid.
Brun is described as a muted blackish brown with a satin finish. This is a matte deep brown. This is good for deepening up any eye look and it blends out really nicely.
Silver Fog is described as a white with silver pearl with a lustre finish. This is a light silver with silver sparkles. The texture is somewhat dry but it is really pretty on the lid. The color payoff is somewhat sheet but with a wet brush or your finger it gives off more pigment.
French Clay is described as a dirty grey charcoal with a frost finish. This is a light taupe with silver sheen. This shade is pigmented and I love using it all over the lid. This color is slightly warm toned but still looks pretty paired with the other shadows in the palette.
Cumulus is described as a dirty grey charcoal with a frost finish. This shade is also slightly warm toned and is a darker brown. This shade is very pigmented and buttery.
Pearled Earth is described as a deep blue-grey with a veluxe pearl finish. The description on this shade is accurate. It us a darker grey with deep blue undertones. This shade is very soft and buttery with strong pigmentation.
Black Tied is described as a black with silver sparkle with a velvet finish. This is a dark shimmery black shade with silver sparkle. It is pigmented and blends out really smoothly. This is a great shade to deepen up any look because it is not over powering.
