Today is all about one of my favorite high end brands, Hourglass!
It’s just a powder…
But they aren’t. Somehow Hourglass figured out how to make something as simple as a face powder into something luxurious and beautiful. Hourglass has expanded their brand to include primers, foundations and lip products but the main stand out product from the brand, in my opinion, are their ambient powders. I have been using and loving the brand, but specifically the powders, for quite some time. These powders are one of those luxury products that are undoubtably worth every cent.
What I love the most
These powders are products that I use all the time in my everyday routine. I have tried some powders from the brand that were okay, but I didn’t find myself using them too often (the bronzer). Today I am talking all about the powders from Hourglass that I simply can’t live without. They can turn any bad makeup day into a good one with barely any effort!

Ambient Lighting Palette
As you can tell, I have really loved this product. There are three shades in this palette: Dim Light, Incandescent Light, and Radiant Light. The far left shade, Dim Light was my first Hourglass powder that I fell hard for. It’s a beautiful neutral peachy beige powder that works beautifully to set your makeup. The middle shade, Incandescent Light, is a gorgeous pearly white shade that is perfect for a subtle, candlelit glow. The last shade, Radiant Light, is a more bronzey shade that can be used to add a sun kissed glow to the face. This palette would be great if you are just trying out the brand because it gives you a variety of shades that can be used in many ways!
Luminous Light Ambient Lighting Powder
I’m just going to go ahead and say that this is my absolute FAVORITE powder that Hourglass makes. If you wanted to choose one powder that you would get a ton of use out of, choose Luminous Light! Luminous Light is a champagne pearl powder that gives the skin a subtle glow. This is the most shimmery of the Ambient powders, but it’s still extremely subtle. Think “bridal glow”. You can use this powder all over this face for a lit from within glow, or as a highlighting powder. I personally like to lightly dust this over my entire face to give my skin a healthy glow. If you are a fan of natural or glowy makeup, you would love this shade!
Mood Exposure Ambient Lighting Blush
The Ambient Lighting Blushes combine the Ambient Lighting powders with pigment to create a blush that will also bring light to your face. These blushes are just as smooth as the powders and they are perfectly pigmented to give your cheeks not only a flush but also some luminosity. I personally love these blushes because they give your cheeks a natural flush and they are so easy to apply! Mood Exposure is a beautiful plum shade that has a subtle sheen to it. The formula is buttery and smooth so it blends out seamlessly. I love wearing this specific shade in the fall and winter to get that naturally flushed look!
Hourglass is one of those brands that does have a higher price tag, but the products are unlike anything else! The powders are so luxurious and appropriate for any skin tone or type. If you haven’t tried out Hourglass, I would recommend picking up one of the powders if you want to invest in a luxury product that you could wear anytime!
