Can we just take a minute to appreciate the fact that Colourpop is now being sold at SEPHORA!? I’m guessing Colourpop is probably the most affordable brand that’s ever entered Sephora. You can find Colorupop in select Sephora stores and online! Which is where I found this little gem 😉
When I saw this Golden State Of Mind palette I sort of had an “ehhh” moment. It just looked like a bunch of shimmery shades that I figured I already had in my collection. Wrong! These aren’t just your average shimmer eyeshadows. These have a glitter finish rather than just a metallic sheen. When I read that online you best bet this baby went in my cart. I mean, $26 for 15 glittery eyeshadows is a steal. At least that’s how I justified buying yet another eyeshadow palette.
As soon as I opened up the box I knew I was going to love the palette. I’ve always loved a good shimmery or glittery eye and these are like amped up shimmery eyeshadows. Just from looking at them in the pan I could tell they were going to be special. Some shades have more glitter than others and some are more of a regular metallic. They all get an A+++ from me!
I like to use these shades with a wet brush to really make them pop. Once you do that they have an intense metallic/iridescent/glittery look to them. Can you say holiday makeup?!
Below I used one of my new favorites, Pay The Piper, on the inner half of my lid. I’d buy the palette just for that one shade. It’s that pretty! On the outer half I used the shade Wing Woman which is a beautiful bronze.
If you love for your eyes to sparkle, you need this palette! I’m so impressed by the consistency and quality of the shadows. The packaging is perfect, the price point is great and you can create so many different looks with this! The palette is still being sold at Sephora and it’s now on the Colourpop website!
