It was a happy day when I got this in the mail…
I was wrong
To be honest, I wasn’t stoked about this release. I love Jaclyn Hill. I’ve been watching her channel for years and she has so much talent. But when I heard that she was collaborating with Morphe I wasn’t too excited. I love Morphe so I already had more than a few of their palettes. I figured this would be just like the ones I already have. Wrong!!!
The look in the above picture was the very first time I used the palette and right then I knew I was in love. Jaclyn said she customized each eyeshadow from the shade to the formulation of the shadow. She did such an amazing job! The blues that I used in this look honestly blew me away. She made them extremely flattering and wearable. They are STUNNING. I have a feeling I’ll be wearing the far left shade in the 5th row, Pool Party, a lot this summer. I used it on my lower lash line and it made my whole look pop.
Something for everyone
The palette is a mix of shimmers, metallics and mattes along with one pressed glitter. She even included some cool toned shades so the palette could be used by everyone! The mattes are extremely creamy and blend out perfectly. The swatches may look like the mattes aren’t that pigmented but on the eyes they work perfectly. The metallics also really stood out to me because they are sooo buttery.
I can definitely tell a difference with this palette from Morphe’s other palettes. Not that they aren’t amazing especially for the price, but this palette is just as good as my high end brand palettes. The palette retails for $38 which comes to less than $1 a shadow!
This palette has something for everyone and you can seriously create endless looks with it! I know it is currently out of stock but keep an eye out for it to be restocked!!!
