Say hello to Christmas in September with the Too Faced Grande Hotel Cafe holiday set! I saw this a few weeks ago before the Christmas in New York collection launched and I knew I had to have it. The first thing that had me hooked on this set is the packaging. The set comes in a box that is shaped like a hotel (I believe it is supposed to look like the Plaza in New York City) and the doors of the box open to reveal a coffee shop. The pastel pink hotel decorated for Christmas made me swoon. The set comes with 18 matte and shimmer shadows, 2 blushes, a bronzer and a deluxe sample of the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara. The set retails for $49 and it is worth every penny! There are three coffee scented pallets that include Peppermint Mocha, Gingerbread Cookie and Eggnog Latte. I have been testing out the shadows, bronzer and blush and I am more than impressed! Too Faced has outdone themselves with this holiday collection. This is one of my favorite palettes I have ever purchased. Thank you Too Faced!
Frosty Nog is a creamy stark white with soft texture. It blends well and is a buttery matte formula.
Eggnog Latte is a pale gold metallic shimmer with gold glitter. When swatched it is somewhat dry, but when applied to the lid over a primer it is beautiful! This shade really brightens up your eyes.
Iced Coffee is a medium toned brown with gold shimmer. This shade is very buttery and pigmented. It blends out really nicely.
Cold Brew is a cool medium toned brown with silver shimmer. I am in love with this shade! It has a buttery texture and is very pigmented. When applied over a primer it works best and the glitter is beautiful in this shade!
Central Perk is a shimmery emerald green. This shade is somewhat sheer but has a very soft texture.
Peach Cobbler is a matte peach blush. This blush formula is extremely pigmented but soft and easy to blend out.
Peppermint Cream is a bright white shade with a matte finish. This shade is great for highlighting the brow bone because it is a very pigmented and smooth white!
Christmas Blend is a rose champagne shade with a metallic finish. The metallics in this palette may feel dry but when applied over a primer they are beautiful!
Peppermint Mocha is a medium brown shade with red shimmer. This shade is very shimmery and smooth. I love this one in the outer v!
Candy Cane is a matte pale pink shade. This shade is super soft and pigmented! It is not chalky and applies seamlessly.
Sprinkles is a medium toned shimmery magenta. This shade is pigmented and blends out really well. This is one of the more creamy shimmery shades.
Coffee Chip is a dark brown with subtle shimmer. This is great for deepening up looks and blends out really well.
Santa Baby is a satin bright pink blush. This is a very pigmented and soft blush. This is a very intense blush but it is beautiful when blended out!
Ginger Cream is a light matte white with a hint of beige. This is a really creamy and pigmented neutral shade.
Maple Syrup is a deep matte brown. This is very pigmented but easy to work with.
Gingersnap is a gorgeous medium toned metallic gold with gold glitter. This shade is pigmented but a little dry. I had to apply this over a cream shadow to get the color payoff I wanted but once I did that it was gorgeous!
Winter Dream is a medium metallic lavender. This is another gorgeous metallic shade that pops when applied over a primer or cream shadow!
Cup of Joe is a deep shimmery brown. This is a very pigmented deep shade that can be used as a liner or to deepen up a look. It blends out nicely and isn’t patchy!
Black Coffee is a matte black. This matte is very creamy and not chalky. It isn’t overly pigmented but that makes it easier to work with! This shade can be built up to a deep black.
Gingersnap is a satin mid toned bronzer. This is very pigmented and creamy. I used this shade as a blush and I love it!
Overall I am head over heels for this palette! This is a fairly neutral palette so these are my kind of shades. My favorite thing about this palette is the metallic shades. They are so appropriate for the holidays and I don’t have anything like them in my collection! You do have to work with some of the shades in this palette. I prefer to use these shades over a primer or cream shadow so they are more intense. The metallic shades work best over a primer and cream shadow because the glitter sticks to it. I did not have a problem with any of the shades and the quality of the shadows is typical Too Faced quality, amazing! I think this is a great palette for the upcoming holiday season and it makes me want to purchase more from this collection.
