One of the things I love most about makeup is glitter. I’m not joking. If there’s glitter in a product, you best bet I’ll be buying it. I’m a glitter addict, especially when it comes to the eyes! So when I saw these Touch In Sol Metallist Liquid Foil & Glitter Eye Shadow duos I knew I had to try them. I had watched a few YouTube videos on the shadows and they got pretty good reviews. I also looked on the Sephora website and read some reviews there. I always do my research before buying a product because I don’t want to waste my money or time! These are $25 and they come with a liquid foil shadow and a glitter.
When applying these shadows, you are supposed to put the liquid foil, which is basically a super metallic cream shadow down first. When doing this step I usually use a synthetic brush to blend the product on the lid. Then from here I pressed the glitter on top. Here is what the shadows look like when they are applied this way.
When I first applied these I thought they were gorgeous! If you are a glitter lover like me this is basically your dream eye look. They have a very “foiled” look as described in the product name. On the Sephora website, this product claims “these dual eye shadows offers rich, metallic pigment with a foil finish in one swipe. With liquid eye shadow on one side and glitter on the other, these gorgeous shades spotlight eyes”. I will agree with this in that these shades do make your eyes the focal point of your face.
However, I wore the shade Talia for the first time for about 10 hours and I was pretty disappointed. The shadow itself on my eyes stayed gorgeous all day, but the glitter fell ALL OVER my face. I’m not one to be too picky about fallout because no product is perfect but this was just bad. One of my friends even pointed it out to me that I had glitter all over my face. There was so much fallout that I couldn’t see myself wearing the product again even if the shadows were that beautiful. :'(
What do you guys think about these?! Is the fallout worth it?
